*Description*




*YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES  *

·         Participate in the development of new maize hybrid crosses, based
on available genetic information, GxE interactions, analytic models, etc.

·         Collaborate with the phenotyping of pre-commercial hybrids;
analysis and quality control of data, and presentation of the information.

·         Plan hybrid production, coordinate increase and characterization
of new pre-commercial inbred lines, and seed hand-off to different teams
and regions within the company.

·         Participate in a collaborative way in information analysis and
decision making pertinent to the advancement in pre-commercial stages,
including field information, haplotypes, BLUPs and predictive analytics.

·         Work alongside breeders, pathologists and data scientists to
tackle challenges related to information gathering, and data analysis and
visualization.

·         Design and build training sets for the development of models
based on big data.

·         Manage projects aimed at solutions that speed up product
development.

*Who You Are Job Qualifications *

·         Required PhD or MSc in Plant Breeding or related field of study.

·         Mandatory 3 years of experience in Plant Breeding within a
recognized Institution/Company.

·         Verifiable effective verbal and written communication skills in
English and Spanish.

·         Required valid driving license, and availability to travel 20% of
the time.

·         Desired analytical skills to use hard data to back up decisions

·         Software management (e.g., SAS, R, InfoStat, Spotfire, Vizio,
Office).

·         Desired ability to work with multidisciplinary and geographically
disperse teams.

·         Wanted ability to communicate complex quantitative analyses in
clear, precise and actionable manner.
