Dear World Soil Day event organizer,

The call for application for the 2019 edition of the King Bhumibol World
Soil Day (WSD) Award
<http://www.fao.org/world-soil-day/world-soil-day-award/en/>  is open. The
award consists of a medal and a USD 15,000 check and acknowledges
outstanding WSD celebrations organized for the WSD 2018 campaign “Be the
Solution to Soil Pollution” and the efforts of their organizers. 

The call for application is open to all type of event and event organizers.

*	field officers who have organized scientific conferences/
roundtables contributing to the advancement of advocacy on soils;
*	technicians who have conducted trainings, workshops, seminars and/or
presented field projects’ results to a diverse audience;
*	journalists or media who have brought WSD to the attention of civil
society through blogs, digital and socials, TV shows and radio broadcasts;
*	country or regional institution that has prepared with particular
efficiency national celebrations with great inter-institutional engagement;
*	schools and universities’ that have promoted soil exhibits, soil
contests, promo videos, rallies;
*	local leaders organizing traditional ceremonies that have involved
political leaders, research institutes, NGOs, influencers, farmers;
*	individual or privates that have organized out-of-home advertising,
art performances, promotional campaigns. 
*	others
