Dear colleagues

On behalf of Brazilian Pedometrics Committee, I wish to invite you to 
participate on the II Pedometrics Brazil, that will be held on line, 
during 24 to 27 of november (2021).

The II Pedometrics Brazil is promoted by the Brazilian Society of Soil 
Science, Embrapa Soils and UFRRJ and will be online from November 24 to 
27, 2021.

Pedometrics is considered one of the most developed disciplines in 
recent years in soil science, due to the advances in computer systems 
and data availability. The development of technologies related to the 
computation systems and algorithms allows to reach a better 
understanding of the soil as a phenomenon that varies in different 
scales in space and time.

A Scientific Meeting on pedometrics societies, in addition to promoting 
scientific research and integration, also contribute to the 
popularization of this science.

The main theme will be "Pedometrics: Innovations in the Tropic" and will 
feature with four thematic:

(1) - Pedometrics: Innovations in Tropics

(2) - Legacy data: How turn it useful?

(3) - Advances in Soil Sensing

(4) - Pedometrics guidelines to systematic soil survey

We estimated enrollment of 300 participants. The conference will provide 
mini-courses, which will be offered on the last two days of the event, 
limited to 50 people each mini-course. The schedule can be viewed on the 
event homepage.

The best evaluated abstracts will be invited to published a complete 
paper in a special issue of a journal or a book chapter (in 
development).

FREE REGISTRATION WITH RESTRICTED NUMBER OF PLACES

SUBMISSION DEADLINE 30 SEPTEMBER.
