Con gran conocimiento y humor describió y enfatizó que Mendoza también tenía, por lo menos, un Molisol.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoListParagraph style='margin-left:21.0pt;text-indent:-18.0pt;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'><![if !supportLists]><span style='font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'><span style='mso-list:Ignore'>-<span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'> </span></span></span><![endif]><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'>Compartí, disfruté y aprendí siendo jurado para profesores de suelos en más de una oportunidad<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoListParagraph style='margin-left:21.0pt;text-indent:-18.0pt;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'><![if !supportLists]><span style='font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'><span style='mso-list:Ignore'>-<span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'> </span></span></span><![endif]><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'>Siendo jurado de un importante premio nacional, lo propuse al Dr. León Nijenshon para otorgarle esa distinción. Se habían presentado unos 10 candidatos y establecimos una interesante discusión entre él y un colega algo más joven y con una trayectoria diferente. León era un teórico, teórico- práctico y práctico. Tenía antecedentes de todo tipo, avances teóricos fundamentales, desarrollo de aparatos y sistemas de medición de propiedades edáficas y apuntado a los conocimientos con diversos alcances, generales, regionales, locales y puntuales. El defendido por otros colegas tenía numerosos trabajos sobre una especie vegetal pero enfatizando lo teórico y publicados en revistas extranjeras, ya había comenzado esta especie de dicotomía de valoración.
